[Prince George, BC, July 19, 2023] – Troika Management Corp. broke ground yesterday on its ‘Caribou Crossing’ development in Prince George. The sky cleared of recent wildfire smoke, and it was all smiles as representatives of Troika Management Corp., Troika’s business partners, the City of Prince George, Lheidli T’enneh First Nation, and the Prince George business community gathered to celebrate this milestone moment. The commencement of this project signifies the beginning of transformative growth and development for the region.

Strategically located at the intersection of Highway 97 South and Boundary Road, Caribou Crossing is a visionary multi-phased highway commercial development that promises to become a bustling hub for both commercial and retail activities. Among the planned features are a state-of-the-art Canco fueling station, a convenient drive-through restaurant, and an array of attractive stores that will house diverse businesses catering to various needs.

Rich Threlfall, Vice President of Development and Innovation at Troika Management Corp., expressed his enthusiasm for the Caribou Crossing development, stating, "The Caribou Crossing project will be a transformative force for the southeast sector of Prince George, in line with the original vision for the Boundary Road corridor. By blending commercial and retail services, Caribou Crossing is expected to attract more visitors to the area, boosting economic growth and fostering a dynamic community. Our partners share our excitement in bringing this development to Prince George, recognizing the city's vital role as the primary service center for Northern British Columbia. As Prince George continues to thrive and evolve, we are eager to contribute to the prosperity of this vibrant community."

Prince George Mayor Simon Yu added “We welcome Troika Management Corp. and its partners to Prince George. They chose our city because we are the primary service centre for Northern BC, for our reputation as a business-friendly community and because we are a great place to live, work and play on the unceded territory of our Host First Nation, the Lheidli T’enneh. The work we have done in past years to strengthen relationships and create a vibrant, welcoming community for everyone is paying off with investments by Troika Management Corp. and its partners. We thank them for believing in Prince George and we wish the Caribou Crossing development resounding success.”

Anticipating an exciting journey ahead, site development work is scheduled to commence immediately, paving the way for vertical construction to begin in the following months. With Troika Management Corp.’s mission of “building sustainable communities” at the forefront, they are committed to delivering a development that meets the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and community integration making Caribou Crossing a source of pride for Prince George.
